Holiday Chocolates Class

Want to impress neighbors and family with fun holiday chocolates? Join us at the Red Barn to learn helpful trade secrets to use to make working with chocolate fun and easy. Learn how to make delicious chocolate suckers and caramel wrapped chocolate pretzel rods with experienced chocolatier Judy Waters, owner for Gramma J. Chocolates. If you enjoy holiday baking this is a class you won’t want to miss!

Pumpkin Patch Hay Rides

We have a great pumpkin patch this year. We run the hayrides to the pumpkin patch and apple bin maze Monday thru Friday starting at 3:30 pm and Saturday starting at 10:30 am. The last wagon leaves the Red Barn to the pumpkin patch at 7:30 pm. We will also have rides starting at 10:30 am on October 20th, 21st, and 28th. The cost is $3.00 per person; children under 2 are free. The pumpkins range in price from $1.00 to $10.00.

Cherry Pit Spit

Celebrate Orchard Days this year with the Red Barn at the 5^th Annual Cherry Pit Spit on Saturday, August 6^thfrom 10-3 pm! This year Pit Spit proceeds, which are, $1 per person, and all ice cream sales that day will be donated to The Steve and Melanie Holt Family. Steve and his family are long time Santaquin residents and are an integral part of our community. Steve has been battling heart failure for 10 years and has amassed major medical expenses. Help support a great cause and join us at the Red Barn on Aug. 6^th for food, fun and prizes! Qualifying rounds will be held that day from 10-1:50 pm with finals beginning at 2 pm. The Finals Round includes the top 10 spitters from men and women participants and the top five spitters from the youth divisions which include: 5 & under, 6-8 and 9-12.

Giant Pumpkin Growing

Have you ever see a 600 lb pumpkin? Well here’s your chance to grow one! Bring your family and learn everything you need to know to succeed.This class includes free seeds to get you started. Don’t forget to come back and visit the barn with your squash at the Giant Pumpkin Weigh Off in October.

Hayrides are now in session and will run until October 30th.

Monday 3:30pm - 8pm*
Friday 3:30pm - 8pm
Saturday 10:30 am - 8pm

Hayride admission prices include a trip to the pumpkin patch and entrance to our maze.

All Riders $3
Babies that can not walk are free

*The pumpkin patch closes at 8, meaning the last hayride will leave the Barn at 7:40pm.

On the 30th, the patch will close at 5pm! All pumpkins are free that day!

If you need a hayride on a time or day that is not within the usual public hayride schedule, you must call the Barn at 801-754-5511 at least 24 hours in advance. It will cost usual admission OR $30, whichever is greater. Hayrides fill quickly, so call now for the best times.

The Fourth Annual Cherry Pit Spit

Cherry Pit Spit

3-5 p.m.

Come spit a pit in the qualifying round. If you are a top spitter you will participate in the finals round at 4 pm. If you need to qualify early, pit spit court will be ready at 9am that morning.
Pie Eating Contest, face paintings, caricature drawings, games and fun for the entire family! Entry Fee $1.

Entry Fee and $1 for every ice cream sold will be donated to the Jackson family.
Come spit a pit for Amy!

May is a busy month for getting your lawn and garden just the way you want them. Here at the Red Barn we hold FREE classes to help you get the most out of your yard. In May we will hold the following classes, and hope to see you there!

Container Gardening
May 1st 10-11am (Sat.)
Meredith Seaver has a B.S. in Ornamental Horticulture from Utah State University and is an Adjunct Instructor for USU in their off-campus Horticulture program. Come and learn how to select and grow the best flowers for your yard to ensure beautiful flowering containers all summer long.

Warm Season Vegetable Gardening
May 4th 7-8pm (Tues.)
Adrian Hinton is a USU professor and Utah county’s extension specialist. He will bring his extensive expertise in warm season vegetable gardening to help you optimize your garden production.

Turf and Tree Care
May 22th 10-11am (Sat.)
Come and join James King as he brings his knowledge and experience to help you keep a green and healthy lawn all year long. Learn how and when to fertilize and water your lawn and how to clear up some common problems you may face during the summer months in caring for your trees and lawn.
