Cherry Pit Spit Aug 3

Western Regional Cherry Pit Spit

Celebrate Orchard Days with The Red Barn in Santaquin as we host our 7th Annual Cherry Pit Spit event. The pit spit will be held on August 3rd from 10-3 pm with finals beginning at 2 pm. For your chance to win 1st place and our grand prize of $100, participants must qualify before 1:45 pm. Bring your entire family to enjoy face painting, games, pie-eating contests and a chance to win one of our other amazing prize baskets! Final rounds which begin at 2 pm, include the top 10 spitters from men and women participants and the top five spitters from the youth age group divisions which include: 15-13, 12-9, 8-6 and 5 & under.

Proceeds from our event this year will be donated to Talyon Raun.  Talyon is a wonderfully happy little boy despite the many challenges he has faced in his short life. He has had heart & lung complications as well as being born without bones in his right leg.  Last year his leg was amputated, and he was given a prosthetic leg to help him become more independent.  As he gets older he will be in need of new prosthetics that can match his growing body.

The $1 entry fee and all proceeds from the ice cream sold that day will be donated to the Raun Family. Come and support Talyon and our community by seeing just how far your hot air can make a pit fly!
